If you’re on a construction site (or any outdoor worksite for that matter) it’s a given you will see a dump truck or three. These vehicles are used by almost every industry – construction, contractors, paving, landscapers/tree work, stone and gravel, municipality road service and highway departments, demolition, and hundreds of others.

Our business vehicle financing helps established businesses buy new or used dump trucks for their own operations. This includes contractors, landscapers and other businesses moving material for their own work. Used trucks bought from a dealer or private seller are welcome. This program is not for owner-operators or for-hire trucking businesses.

Crest Capital finances standard dump trucks and the specialized types below for businesses that haul their own material. Dump trucks are among the specialized vehicles we finance.

Articulated Dump Truck Financing

An articulated dump truck pivots at a hinge between the cab and the dump body, and it drives on all of its wheels. That combination lets it carry a full load across soft, muddy or uneven ground where a road truck would get stuck. Contractors use articulated trucks for earthmoving, site preparation, pipeline and quarry work. We consider new and used articulated dump trucks, including units bought from a dealer or a private seller.

Off-Road Dump Truck Financing

An off-road dump truck, often called a rigid haul truck, has a one-piece frame and a heavy body built to haul rock and dirt on a job site rather than on public roads. These trucks work on mass excavation, road and dam construction, and landfill projects, usually loaded by an excavator or wheel loader. We finance new and used off-road dump trucks for contractors moving material on their own projects.

Mining Truck Financing

Mining trucks are the off-highway haul trucks that carry ore, rock and overburden at mines and quarries. Our financing covers $10,000 to $500,000, which can cover a used mining truck or one of the smaller haul trucks that quarries and aggregate producers run. The largest new mining trucks cost far more than that range.

Superdump Truck Financing

A superdump truck adds a trailing axle behind the dump body that lowers to the road when the truck is loaded. Highway weight limits depend on the number of axles and the distance between them, so the longer wheelbase lets a superdump legally carry a heavier load than a standard tandem dump truck. Paving, aggregate and site contractors use them to move more material per trip.

Side Dump Truck Financing

A side dump truck tips its body to the left or right instead of lifting the front of the body to empty it out the back. The load stays low while it unloads, so a side dump is less likely to tip over on uneven ground, and it can lay material in a row along a road or trench. Road builders and site contractors use side dumps for gravel, sand, road base and large rock.

Transfer Dump Truck Financing

A transfer dump truck pulls a separate trailer that carries a second container. After the truck dumps its own load, the trailer's container rolls forward on rails into the empty truck body and is dumped from there; the noise of that transfer gives the setup its nickname, slam-bang. The combination carries more material per trip and still dumps in tight spaces. We finance new and used transfer dump trucks for businesses that haul their own aggregate, fill or asphalt.

Sand Truck Financing

A sand truck spreads sand, salt or a mix of the two on roads, parking lots and work sites in ice and snow. Most are dump trucks or hopper-body trucks fitted with a spreader at the rear. Snow and ice management companies, and landscaping and paving contractors that take on winter work, use them on the lots and roads they maintain. We finance new and used sand trucks for business use.
