What we need:

We are seeking an individual with advanced knowledge in Excel, Access, and data retrieval concepts as well as strong project management skill to join our team as a Database Administrator. Applicant should possess sound business judgment, attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Knowledge of data warehousing, internal/external data acquisition/integration strategies and statistical modeling is a plus. We welcome experienced data specialists with a background in data/list management within a marketing driven company to apply. A background in financial services (credit card, equipment finance, mortgage, etc) or a call center environment is very favorable. Two to Four years of college in computer science, management information systems (MIS), or related subject is strongly desired.

What you'll do:

The Database Administrator works with the Marketing team to deliver fast, accurate, and complete datasets in support of various initiatives by extracting, compiling, and proofing data as well as creating and updating tracking systems. Accountability includes developing protocols for research methods exercising judgment in selecting tools, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining desired results while overseeing and supporting junior staff members in collecting, validating and organizing data. Responsibilities include analyzing and manipulating data using Business Intelligence and data mining tools to achieve high standards in data hygiene, proactively performing quality control tests to verify results of data transformation, maintaining and creating system documentation of steps taken to prepare datasets so that analysis can be replicated in subsequent waves of research, looking for opportunities to automate processes in order to combine and transform datasets, and on occasion, generating ad hoc reports that summarize the datasets and recommending improvements based on analysis of information.
